We are a family business

It has been a long journey from simple beginnings in a backyard workshop to a globally active company. In 1986, Thomas Sterl began to turn his love of furniture into his profession. The trained master upholsterer drew his ideas and inspiration from the Art Deco era. He was fascinated by the creative combination of elegance of form, preciousness of materials, strength of color and sensuality of theme.

The workshop, which was a slender 180 square meters at the time, now measures around 1200 square meters and receives inquiries from all of Europe's major cities. The secret of this success is the harmony of quality, exclusivity and timeless elegance. Characteristics that have shaped the company's actions from day one.

Customized finishing

Each piece of furniture is accompanied from the raw model to completion by true masters of their trade. So it receives the appreciation and attention it deserves. Professional high-gloss lacquering is an artistic discipline that we have made our trademark. Of course, we also practice the traditional surface refinement of bale matting/shellac polishing as well as accentuating the finish with precious metals (gold plating, silver plating).

In our upholstery workshop, we offer you a fascinating selection of the finest fabric covers and exquisite hides. These come from selected weaving mills and tanneries from all over Europe, so you can have complete peace of mind when it comes to quality. Even unusual and difficult to work with materials, such as ray skin and crocodile leather, adorn our furniture, in keeping with the Art Deco philosophy.
